The Ruffed Grouse Society and American Woodcock Society Hire Matt Kangas as Minnesota Regional Director

Kangas will engage Minnesota chapters in fundraising and membership events that enhance healthy forests, abundant wildlife and sporting traditions.

Ruffed Grouse Society Wins 2017 APEX Award for Publication Excellence

The award, given in the print magazines and journals section, marks the seventh consecutive year RGS/AWS has received an APEX award.

Mission Statement

Established in 1961, the Ruffed Grouse Society is North America's foremost conservation organization dedicated to preserving our sporting traditions by creating healthy forest habitat for ruffed grouse, American woodcock and other wildlife. RGS works with landowners and government agencies to develop critical habitat utilizing scientific management practices.
